For the fifth consecutive year, Metalia is proud to support the talented driver Alex Lajoie. Considered by many as the most talented competitor of the Sportsman category, the #33 Racing Team is getting ready for the 2018 season and still enjoys the momentum of 2017.
"We are really proud of the accomplishment of 2017” confirms Lajoie. And with reason: The team #33 brought home the prestigious DirtCar Championship for the Northern Region, covering Quebec, Ontario and a part of New England. This decisive title was won during the last race of the season at the Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, New York. Lajoie also made history by becoming the third Quebecer to win a Triple Fifteen at the Oswego Speedway during the infamous Super Dirt Week, the equivalent of the Daytona 500 in NASCAR. On the local scene, the #33 car defended its second place with ferocity at the Autodrome Granby, but engine failure ultimately led them to the fifth place. |
“A podium every night” explains Lajoie with excitement, while making the last adjustments on the 33x car. His team and him have audacious goals, at the height of last season’s results. Lajoie hope to win the championship on home ground in Granby and at the RPM Speedway while maintaining his leadership in the Dirtcar series in Canada and New England. |
